§ 6.04.010. Purpose

Latest version.
  • The board of trustees recognizes that development or improvement of property may impose increased demands on the storm drain system. These increased demands require that the system be constructed, modified, upgraded, or increased in size. Additionally, the district's National Pollutant Discharge Elimination Systems (NPDES) Permit requires structural and organizational measures to reduce the pollutant load of storm water runoff. The purpose of this chapter is to provide for the establishment of fees and charges applicable to the development and improvement of property, in order to assure the construction of and preservation of adequate storm drainage facilities for the appropriate level of protection of the public health, safety, and welfare of the residents of the district, as established by the board of trustees of the district.
